I
am producing a flyer to promote my business and want to get the best out
of digital print. Is there any specific advice you would give?
As
a general rule modern digital print has significantly closed the gap on
conventional litho printing. However, virtually all digital printers have
a problem with large areas of flat colour, pastel shades and greys are
normally the worst, primary colours not so bad, so try to avoid the former
if possible.
If you are using
large areas of black put a "shiner" behind it. Essentially this
is a 20% tint of another colour, all it does is give added density to
the black thereby improving the look dramatically. If you want a warm
black use magenta, for a cool black use cyan.
I
want to produce a small amount of business stationery. Can I do this digitally?
We can print onto a range of
quality stationery paper stocks which will run well through a standard
office or home use inkjet printer and many laser printers.
Please read the information on Is
digital print right for me?.
Can
you produce artwork for me?
Yes we can. We offer a full range of design and
artwork services. Give us the details of what you want and we will be
happy to provide a quote.
I
have been told that its not possible to successfully laminate digital
print. Is this true?
Yes and no! Some digital printers use an oil in the fusing process leaving
an oily residue in the print making it very difficult for a laminate to
adhere to. Our digital printers use micro toner technology which do not
use a fuser oil making it perfect for laminating even on heavy print coverage.
How
can I find out how much you will charge for my printing?
On most products we have a simple ordering page that shows the prices
for many commonly ordered printing jobs, but if you have a special requirement
that we do not show prices for please call our sales staff on 01245 231900
or email sales@offsitegroup.net
Can
I see a proof of my printing before it is finally printed?
A PDF
proof is freely available on request for any order. A printed proof is
also available on request for £15 plus 40p per page + VAT on any
order under £200, and free for orders above £200.
I
do not like using my credit card for online orders – can I pay by
any other means?
We
will accept cheques subject to them clearing before we dispatch the printing
to you. We also accept money transfers into our account and will release
your printing on receipt of your bank’s online remittance either
by email or fax.
